Since 10 years now, the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum organise Summer Karting Camps for the 11 to 16 years old.
 
Jacques Villeneuve, brother of the legendary Gilles-Villeneuve, is our chief instructor since the beginning. He gives all his knowledge to the young participants on track or at the theoretic classes like on the pictures below.



Jacques stays with the group during all the camp and take care of the kids during and after the races. He walks on the track to give instructions or advises, show where the drivers should pass, film them in action, explain important points in motor racing, etc. The participants will also visit his garage, at St-Cuthbert, where he prepares his snowmobile for the next season.



Being one of the few racers that participated to that much automobile races in different categories,
 Jacques Villeneuve is a very unique instructor and we are proud to have him in our team!

	Jacques Villeneuve still race in snowmobile in the Eastern Pro Tour series, category Pro Champs, which takes places in Canada and Unites States. Even after a big accident that could have stop him during qualifications for a race at Eagle River in Wisconsin, Jacques came back to race and won everything to be the 2008 Champion!

The kids arrive with their family at the Berthierville Days Inn. After they left their stock in their room, they participate to a driver meeting. Alain Bellehumeur, Museum's Manager, Jacques Villeneuve and the monitors explain the headlines of the camps to the participants and their parents.

Then, the group goes to the museum, situated at 3 minutes of walk from the hotel, to make a guided visit by the manager. Of curse, all the family is invited.

After the visit, everybody is invited to play at the simulator or to try the electric track of the museum. On the next day, the kids and monitors will go back to the museum for an other session of simulator and track. Fun guarantee!

Wave Pool!!!

Yes, the Trois-Rivières Karting has for this summer big news...  the biggest wave pool of the Quebec! Everybody will be swimming and having fun there after their first karting day. A lot of fun is to expect!

The karting sessions are divided in ten minutes parts. In the two days, it's eighteen times that the drivers will go on the track for essays, qualifications and races.
With nine sessions a day, the kids have to full their energy before the beginning of the camp!

Every meal is included. The first morning, the group take their breakfast at the hotel. At noon, a lunch is prepared at the track and everybody go to McDonalds for supper. Even Jacques comes to the restaurant with the drivers!

Breakfast for the next morning is taken at the Mikes Signature Guy Lafleur, and another lunch is prepared at the track for noon.

During all the camp, points are given to the kids for their races and qualifications, and also for their attitude out of the track (at the hotel and restaurant) . At the end, a championship determinate the three winners which will receive a bonus: a couple of laps with Jacques Villeneuve on more powerful karts. Finally, every participant receives a medal and many gifts from the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum and the Trois-Rivières Karting track.
